There needs to be a logical system to the CLI and it needs to make sense. I'm not a newbie, I've been using git for 15 years. I still think that it's opaque and bad and hostile, and I have to memorize different uses like they are incantations instead of the CLI helping me remember. A good contrast is Docker CLI.
