Can I introduce you to some friends? Left to right, here is Mohammed, Losseni, Paolo and myself.
The picture is from last Saturday. We attended an encounter organised by CIAC, an Italian NGO that works with refugees.
We are in the "buddies" programme: one local matched with one refugee, for socialisation. The NGO teaches them Italian, provides shelter, helps them with medical issues... we, the buddies, just go out with them for a walk or to eat, and we chat about life.
