I was incredibly suspicious of WICKED -- because I really hated Gregory Maguire's novel and I am Team Baum/Thompson all the way. So imagine my surprise when this movie won my semi-grumpy ass over EXTREMELY fast. Imaginative details such as the goat teacher (who nearly steals the movie) and the steampunk train. Some sneaky political subtext, digs at white privilege, a lot of heart, great songs, poignant moments. And a very fun ride. Loved it!
