@ryan For me, what brings me joy about coding is helping someone. Creating something that will be useful to at least one person somewhere out there.
I usually think of it in two ways: either someone wanted to do a thing, but they couldn't, and I can write some software that will allow them to do it, or else there was a thing they had to do and didn't want to, and I can automate away that chore or that drudgery.
Either way, my joy comes from imagining their smile when they use my software.
