Spent 1:25 writing tonight, got 748 words written, and got myself unstuck from the place in this one vignette where I've been parked for the past 10 days, wondering what the hell to say next. (In that time I've done various background stuff and gotten a whole nother vignette started and... curiously, wrote 748 words in it. Anyway, I haven't been totally stagnant for 10 days, is my point. I've kept pushing, even when I was blocked in one place.)

[#]WritersCoffeeClub Day 31: How’s your writing progress so far this year? What are you working on?

I'm still working on the same WIP I've been doing since this hashtag began: the urban fantasy about San Franciscan magicians who talk to the City. I'm working through 2 different vignettes right now, exploring how certain groups operate and getting a little more comfortable with certain side characters.

I've written 6485 words this year (month), and done some background work.

All my problems from yesterday? Yeah, none of them are gone. ☹

My leg is still trying to cramp (though not succeeding, so that's good). Last night's dreams were even worse than the previous night's. Seriously, WTF is the point of going to bed early to catch up in sleep if shit like that happens?

I'm torn between wanting to treat myself to something nice and happy and comfy and cozy, vs thinking that even figuring out what is too difficult, never mind actually going and getting it.

I spent 20 minutes writing tonight. My word count says 57, but I did a little editing — this vignette now has 748 words total, but the first 691 of them are no longer the same 691 as they were a half-hour ago.

Anyway, it's not much, but I feel like crap, and I'm giving myself permission to slack off tonight.
