It makes sense crypto bros want the US govt to have some "bitcoin reserve". It's laughable as a currency, because transactions are way too slow. Much of its value comes from prople being forced to buy them eg as ransom money for paying cybercriminals. But when the US govt starts buying it, cryptobros can convert their bitcoin wallets into cash paid for by yhe US taxpayer.
