@Resister @jen4web Because my home is in a northern latitude and because there is a ridge to the south, there's actually a six week period when sunlight does not touch my home at all. I call it the shadow time. It ended around January 15.
I try (and usually succeed) to stay away from home during shadow time. I go south for the winter like a bird. I'm heading home now, though. Looking forward to the sunlight that my housesitter says has been shining every day.
