I still daydream about the giant bags of broken biscuits my mum used to get at the supermarket when I was a teenager. Every kid in the street knew what time and day of the week she got back from Crazy Prices (a NI institution), and they’d all arrive at ours in time to help her carry the shopping in, and then we’d sit round drinking tea and eating all the broken biscuits.
