A note for my Louisiana / Southern US people who are in the freeze:
You probably know you need to drip your faucets to stop your pipes from freezing. What you might not have thought about: you should drip both the cold AND hot sides of your sink.
Makes sense, right? There are separate pipes in and out of the water heater. Also, down here, a lot of us have water heaters outside of the conditioned space of the house. I find that the articles often leave it out, and we don't get a lot of practice
