@nileane To be fair you could have bought the same from some factory in China and you wouldn’t get any guarantee of ethics. Thinking about it Apple did buy them from some factory in China.
What hurts is paying them the premium thinking you’re supporting one of the morally “less worse” corporations. And nope, it’s still a corporation doing what corporations do.
