@nina_kali_nina If you want fire fast, I’d go for volts over amps. Much less power needed. 20-30kV at milliamps ought to overcome the dielectric strength of the insulation and start an arc burning.
Firewire can supply 30V at 1.5A. Should be plenty if you’re driving a flyback with a ZVS driver.
