I have my issues with the bifurcated characterization of Aloy (and tiresome characterization of Erend) in Forbidden West, but I continue to believe that the Horizon video game series is some of the most important science fiction storytelling of this time.
I am almost desperate to see it discussed more in academic studies. Until then, I will continue to feel its parallels when I read news about tech oligarchs and climate change.
