I've almost exclusively worked at small game companies, and I really resonated with @MOOMANiBE's blog about the problems with "indie" game companies and how that shouldn't be the template we aspire to use in the industry.

I also want to add:
- Even when hired, small companies rarely have upward mobility and growth opportunities built-in
- The people in charge of management are often people who own the company and are bad at it. Sometimes they'll hire a producer. They are also bad at it.
- Working on a smaller team means being able to have influence, but you will never make your game.
