I suspect that it's more that I have aged than that Wild At Heart doesn't seem to have aged well to me now. That was a movie for a 20 year old me, not me now. It changed me in many ways and that was its importance. I'd never seen anything like it before.
Maybe it wasn't my favorite Lynch film as a film, but for me it was his most important. It encouraged me to embrace the weird and the innane, to see the possibility in the everyday.
