Spaceballs includes characters/events from Planet of the Apes and Alien. Alien in turn bidirectionally connected to Predator. It would mean a lot if a Spaceball turned up in the ongoing Alien series.
Or an Office Space short that connects to some Matrix characters, ie by seeing them at a party or eating at Jennifer Aniston's restaurant...
