I regularly fill out the crossword puzzle in the newspaper. I prefer crossword answers to be standard words rather than proper nouns, texting abbreviations, or slang. So I was particularly dismayed this week at a puzzle with the following two clues and answers: 'Meeting, informally' (answer: SESH) and 'Strangers, slangily' (answer: RANDOS).
I have never heard anyone use these 'words'. I fear I have become like Mary on #Gogglebox having to endure Giles' repetition of slang. #crossword #slang
