@fancysandwiches oh yea! So cicadas are sooooo loud, you definitely don’t have to worry about self noise specs or anything. :) It mostly gets challenging when you start trying to record quiet nature soundscapes and such. Any of those recorders will do well with loud ambiences and sampling things up close.
