Yesterday I heard a Republican politician state that wildfire aid to California should be contingent upon California getting their act together. My biggest trigger used to be when Republicans would say we just need to live with school shootings, and that's just the price of freedom. I think that has been topped now by Republicans who want to score political points while people are dying and losing their houses. This is just disgusting and craven. I don't recall Democratic leaders saying this about Florida after the last two hurricanes. I agree tough questions need to be asked, but while people are losing they're lives, we need to put partisanship aside and save the finger pointing for later.
