I’ve discovered that the style of shoe I used as my standard for dress business casual throughout my fifth decade is now the standard bearer generic prototype for that segment at Walmart.
It’s sort of like a reversal of what became Vans, which was once the standard ultracheap canvas top slip on sneaker you could only find at discount stores. Another standard that I wore at least a decade.
