It is legitimate to come up with the words ahead of time (there are pros and cons to improvising them on the spot; yes, the work of improvisation also adds a certain spark, but being able to create a tightly structured piece with things like internal rhyme or matching certain poetic forms also adds power, in a different way). 2/3
