Thanks for sharing. I did not see that page before and as an admin of a small server, I fully agree to everything written there. Honestly, their (lack of) moderation has become a huge problem (we have blocked several CSAM accounts from there), and true enough, I would be afraid to defederate for fear of losing visibility and interaction with the good guys.

Worse still and that is my main grief against them: they never, ever answered to my numerous requests for our server to be listed on their directory. I asked litterally ten times, provided all the good info, and never an answer. Not even a "no". It gives a very bad image, very impolite (I understand they may be busy, but in two years? c'mon), it makes me wonder if there is some kind of discrimination because we are a gay-focused community?

But, nothing I can do. They are too big, they do what they want, but this attitude does not support our values. And they know that without visibility, small servers are doomed to stay small, thus killing the very decentralized concept and value. And they control visibility.
