It's hard to shed one of your sources of contact with friends, family, and news. But from experience, I can also say reducing the inflow and outflow can also feel liberating. It leaves you with more time for yourself and the things that are most important to you.
Anyway, I recommend asking "would I and all my friends feel safe on a meta platform" and ”do I want to support meta and cast my vote for the owners by being there and letting them harvest my data?"
