Made this point on Bluesky in response to misinformation in some of the LA fire discussion. I think it's worth repeating here, even though I've seen much less of what I'm describing on Mastodon.
If you want a strong government that does good things, don't amplify fraudulent cynicism about our current government trying to do good things.
