The joys of rural living.
We heard the front door open, but we were both together and there was nobody else in the house and no visitors expected. So who could be opening the front door?
It was the postman, opening the front door to put the parcel indoors rather than leave it outside in the rain.
This is no doubt perfectly normal for people who don't live in towns but it was a new one on me!
