I met an anti-vaxxer once. I was too flabbergasted to be able to argue coherently. They had declared that "doctors have been making us ill for centuries".
If I met them again, here is what I would say:
"Are you saying that my own mother, a doctor, deliberately and knowingly made her own children ill by getting them vaccinated?"
It's much easier to demonize a group when you assume that they are all psychopaths with no human connections.
