[#]computing #unpopularopinion The worst mistake in #computerscience was the floating point unit. It should have stayed discrete decimals stored as a series of small integers ranged 0 through 9. Decimal arithmetic is taught in middle school: don't pretend like that's too difficult for computers to figure out.
