Bluetooth LE feels weird. Like regular Bluetooth is still not good enough for its major application these days (audio). And LE is essentially a completely different thing that's better designed for an IoT usage that seems to have decided Bluetooth sucks and to avoid it. And then despite LE having a generic profile for arbitrary data stuff, everyone just layers on a weird custom protocol for shoving generic data across anyway
