The degree to which the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Louis Penfield house brings the outside in is remarkable. The height and openness of the windows is of course a big part of it, but the continuation of the concrete floors and tan wall panels between interior and exterior lets your eye just slide in and out effortlessly. Reminiscent of a spell.
And in case anyone believes there is absolute perfection in this world, the bench I’m sitting on to take this picture is uncomfortable due to thin cushions, and the air is chill because single-pane windows.
