Hah - while I've gotten The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria up and running in CrossOver / wine very nicely (it's currently free from Epic Games right now until tomorrow!), the multiplayer hosting doesn't seem to work / run well when the host is in wine. Lots of complaints about it, can't get it to work myself.
Which is a bummer, since my brother and my son, we all wanted to play but only my son is regularly playing games on Windows directly - but two good notes about that:
