Every time I look at nVidia (world class) perf/watt numbers, I'm reminded that:

• Ada TDP values are poorly picked (eg 4070 is a 150-180W card, running at 200W to let them sell a few extra chips that would have failed binning otherwise).

• Most AAA games tested would have been primarily optimised around the fixed console platforms that run variants of RDNA2, a poor match for nVidia.

• Even Ampere, on an old Samsung8 node, often competes for efficiency with current Intel & AMD cards.
