My unpopular opinion is that we don’t value the labour of community building and grassroots political organising because by and large it’s “women’s work” that Serious Men are contemptuous of.
Slowly and patiently and repeatedly explaining things to people who are distracted or emotional.
Anticipating basic needs.
The kind of thankless mundain planning and organising nobody gives you a cookie for.
It’s the housework of politics.
