The essential property of the politics of privilege is that it’s an intellectual exercise—a puzzle or a game, to be pondered and, once solved, to result in a flood of dopamine at the prospect of a solution.
For the unprivileged, politics is about survival. It is about clawing the bare necessities of life from people so flush with them, they’re unaware of the stakes.
