I remember reading about how back in the day, big media companies thought content on the internet would be delivered in “channels” like on television. They didn’t have a way to understand how fundamentally different the internet was from older media, and figured it would develop in a similar fashion.
What I realized just now is they’ve basically built that vision out—but instead there is one channel on a site, and it is algorithmically adapted to you.
