Flying back to Iceland to meet friends and family over the holidays and glancing at the Met-office's webpage it doesn't disappoint!

• Red warning volcanic eruption

• Red warning ice dams in rivers around the county

• Red warning glacial run in a rivers underneath Mýrdals glacier (possible second eruption)

• Orange warning 28m/s to 40 m/s gusts in the west

• Yellow warning for the rest of the country (no one should feel left out)
