@jsnell I might be in the minority, but I very much do not want Apple to widely open ios/ipados.
Doing so will result in smaller fiefdoms of marketplaces. This is highly user hostile - you can see this model in action with windows game marketplaces. Any software group with a large enough user base will build their own marketplace, forcing users to gunk up their devices with marketplaces/launchers for every app that they want that’s exclusive to that platform.
