@adamw Whoa! Problem solved! Thank You!
After installing texlive-pdfbook2 I had to simply run: pdfbook2 orig.pdf which created orig-book.pdf with pages laid out exactly as needed.
Too bad it's somewhat buried under texlive ecosystem (together with pdfjam which is placed in texlive-pdfjam package).
