Generally, my view is that there is not much sense in prepping beyond have two weeks of food/water for smaller catastrophes. For everything longer you are dependent on a good reaction by your government. If you prep a lot, but your government does not make good decisions, you mainly buy the privilege of dying a bit later than the majority.
