@mrc Difficult to prevent completely. Couple things can help I imagine:

• set a max limit on transfers

• don't keep large sums in "current accounts"

• only allowing large transfers with the bank's or family member revision (if that's an option)

• double-check any 'cyber security' claim with your bank

And then the more techy stuff like using 2FA, passcodes, etc.
