@VickyRampin I feel like modern tech has trained us to believe that useful services aren't available for basically anything, and that if someone says they are then they're overselling for clout. And that if there's a public service available then it's probably underfunded and under active attack.
I'm trying real hard to remove any underlying cynicism as I say that, but as someone who's watched it change for several decades now (like I think you have), I think that's just stripped-down honest.
