I'm also guilty of replying (in English) to posts written in English but tagged as French or German or Czech or what-have-you, but when I notice I am thankful that I can edit the post to update the language tag for this exact reason. The built-in translate function makes it really easy to get viewpoints from other cultures and points of view and I'm really thankful for it.
