One of my pet peeves is """security features""" that cannot ever be opted out of, because some software author thought they know better than you.
Been trying to set up SSH with key authentication. If the private key file's permissions aren't EXCLUSIVELY set to only the owning user, then SSH won't let you use your key.
Problem is ... I can't change permissions of individual files on this file system and you cannot disable this check. In the end I had to enable password auth again lmao.
