This happens when you sit next to @tinyledmatrix on a train to #hackadayberlin2024.
The cube uses 320 1.6mm RGB LEDs on a 2mm grid. All sides are connected by solder joints to connect the LEDs in one continous chain. A sixth PCB sits in the middle of the cube holding the microcontroller and USB-C socket.
Now I have to do some work on the firmware to make it display more interesting patterns...
