I’m at Hirosawa Pond in Kyoto, waiting for the lanterns (灯籠） and mountain bonfires (五山の送り火) to begin. We should be able to see the Torigata fire from here. Might rain before any of that happens, although we are not anywhere near the typhoon hitting Kanto.
