it's gotta be frightening for people
in an ever-changing world,
to not have a map of reality that fits
and you've been raised to .. keep quite rigid frameworks
but time is changing and the more you hold on the more out of skew it all gets
and then .. so tempting to just fill in the cracks with new, better sounding certainties, brought with even more conviction - even if completely ungrounded.
