@Yora @lonehorizons because it's from latin "bestia".
bestiary derives from latin "bestiarium" (literally a book of animals/beasts), which in turns is derived from adj. bestiarius (pertaining to wild beasts), which is derived from bestia (animal, beast). English took the words of beast and bestiary separate from each other.
Unfortunately, if everybody decides that beastiary is the right spelling, then it'll become the right spelling. doesn't mean we should just stop using the right word tho
