@JoshuaHolland I hate that this is necessary, but I understand.

It makes trump look all powerful and adds to his "strong man" mythos. Ultimately, it will enable him to take even more outrageous actions.

@JoshuaHolland is it a bullshit gesture? She just told him he can do whatever he likes to her country going forward in exchange for a thirty day pause and commitments from him that he will not keep. Seems very panicked and short sighted to me.
