Republican chairman of House Intelligence Committee, Mike Turner, was removed by Mike Johnson. Turner at times was a critical of trump.

Turner alienated the far right with his policies.

Watched a little of Hegseth hearing. It's gratifying to see our best Democratic Senators asking real questions, pushing him for answers, examining his questionable personal background, using his own quotes against him when he lies.

Especially impressed by Senators who served in the military, like Mark Kelly and Tammy Duckworth. Also Gillibrand, King, Whitehouse. No holds barred questioning is revealing him as unfit for one of the most consequential positions in the world

GA Congressman introduced a bill to eliminate federal income tax, and substitute a 30% universal sales tax. It would add trillions to the federal debt over just a decade.

Nothing is exempt. $6 eggs will cost $7.80.

The wealthy get a massive windfall. The rest of us get a $7500 tax bill when we buy a new $25,000 vehicle. That's on top of state and local taxes averaging $2,000. Slap on a 20% trump tariff and the total tax bill rises to almost $15,000.
