i can tell already that this show has bigger ambitions RE: plot than Gravity Fall had. it feels like most episodes of GF were silly bullshit with a tiny bit of plot/character development for flavour. i remember seeing a bunch of Rose x Pearl art before i started watching this show. and i of course understand why it exists. but i do think Pearl is a much more interesting character if she doesn't get to marry Rose.
