This is asked out of genuine curiosity not malice...

When I write alt text I often describe things as being x colour. For blind users, can you "see" the colour in your mind or does it mean nothing to you? Does it make a difference if you were born blind or became blind later in life?

@missmelanieh I have no idea of colors except what I have been told, that a banana is yellow and so is a lemon. But yellow? That means nothing.

Born blind means we have no point of reference for colors. People who had their eyesight before will still have that reference. Born blind means we never had it.

@xogium That makes a lot of sense.

I was asking more to help me with my alt text and whether to continue to include it. I guess for inclusivity, I should because it will help some users.
