I updated to #lineageos 22 yesterday, and decided to try harder without gapps this time.

Success so far except :

• I miss WIDE launcher (picture) which has no grid and is super fancy, like the moving crab is an icon. Recommandations ?

• swiping to type on keyboards doesn't work. Ideas ?

• it's a challenge to manage non foss apps

• I broke my SD card which was OUT of the phone during the whole process... maybe ESD damage. Need to try recovery now...

J'ai installé lineage 22, sans les Gapps cette fois. Réussi, mais...

• Je ne trouve pas d'équivalent à WIDE launcher qui n'a pas de grille et est super personnalisable

• les claviers que j'ai testés ne marchent pas avec les gestes

• gérer les applications "standard" est difficile

• Dans la manoeuvre, ma carte SD qui était hors du téléphone a perdu quasiment tout son contenu... je dois essayer de la récupérer...

@eve Pour la carte SD si elle était chiffrée tu ne pourras pas forcément la relire sans la clé et ton code et de la bidouille.

@eve #HeliBoard fonctionne bien pour le swiping. Il faut charger un fichier en plus, mais une fois fait ça roule.

Mais comment tu as le Play Store sans gapps ?

@eve Have you tried the Aurora Store?

I use it for non-FOSS apps like banking and Spotify. You might even be able to use it to install WIDE launcher...?

@normplum Oh thanks, I tried aurora once but couldnt remember the name. Actually I installed wide, but it works with log in to save the settings, you can't export how you arranged the icons without loging in (unless I manage to find where and how they store it)

@eve WRT the SD Card: It’s probably not ESD. Check for tiny hairline cracks, those things are incredibly brittle.

@eve Hi, I just installed CalyxOS on my phone which has microg as Gapps replacement. I saw there is a version of Lineage with microg as well. I had expected problems with non-FOSS apps, but everything worked flawlessly.
